CRC Annual Meeting – June 27, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at The Cabaret @ Camp (sign-in begins at 4:30)

Join us for the CapitolRiver Council (CRC) Annual Meeting on Wednesday, June 27, at The Cabaret @ Camp, which is on Robert Street, between 9th and 10th streets in Downtown Saint Paul.

CRC (District 17) is an official advisory group to the City Council, represents and works in partnership with all District 17 stakeholders to act on urban planning and community building efforts as part of a shared vision to support sustainable, safe, healthy, and vibrant neighborhoods. Board members volunteer their time and use their skills, knowledge and experiences to lead the organization, and develop recommendations to the City Council and Mayor based on input from a broad range of voices.

There will be time to sign in and socialize from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., and the meeting will start at 5:30 p.m.

The agenda will include a financial report, the election of board members, and a presentation on community planning by LisaBeth Barajas, Community Development Director at the Metropolitan Council. Her duties include managing the implementation of the Metropolitan Land Planning Act through the provision of technical planning assistance to local governments, and advising the Council’s Land Use Advisory Committee. She also serves as Chair of the Corcoran Neighborhood Organization, where she provides overall leadership and strategic direction to the organization. She focuses her efforts on neighborhood community building, land use and redevelopment issues, and sustainability issues.
