Community Engagement and Planning Intern Opportunity

The CapitolRiver Council is seeking a student intern to lead community engagement and urban planning activities in Downtown Saint Paul, and to provide staff support to public committees that engage stakeholders in developing recommendations to advise the Saint Paul City Council. In 2019, we will be working with City staff and the Planning Commission to review and update the Downtown chapter of the City’s Comprehensive Plan. The ideal student will have completed one or more courses on subjects related to engagement and planning, such as Community Development, Urban Planning, Public Policy, Housing Policy, Public Administration or Nonprofit Administration.

CRC, an official advisory group to the Saint Paul City Council, represents and works in partnership with all District 17 stakeholders to act on urban planning and community building efforts as part of a shared vision to support sustainable, safe, healthy, and vibrant neighborhoods.

Compensation: $15 per Hour, 10-15 hours per week

Duration: Temporary / Seasonal
