Public Realm Committee Meeting March 7, from 5-6:30 p.m. in Conference Room B

The Public Realm Committee will meet on Thursday, March 7, from 5-6:30 p.m. in Conference Room B, 180 East 5th Street. The agenda will be to continue the discussion from the January meeting about Goal setting. The group will establish priority around a manageable/actionable number of these:

  • Parking
  • Parks
  • Leveraging the Private Sector
  • Skyway safety
  • River Balcony / Large-scale future visioning projects/ ideas
  • Doing the little things: trash cleanup, etc. (a good lead in to Outreach/Engagement events/ efforts)
  • Questions for each issue
  • What is the problem were trying to solve for?
  • What is the fix to that problem? What stands in our way?
  • Who could help us learn about this?
  • Who else is interested in this issue? What other orgs./ groups?
  • What are some tasks that would take substantial time to complete?

Pedro Park Open House – check out the latest design on March 6, 6:30-8 p.m.

The City of Saint Paul is seeking your feedback on a proposed design of Pedro Park, which is at the corner of 10th and Robert streets. This is the site where the Pedro family donated the land to the City to be developed as a park. The purpose of the open house is to provide feedback on the proposed park design. More information about this project is on the City website.

The open house will be on Wednesday, March 6, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., in 180 East 5th Street, Skyway Level Conference Room B (next to the escalator to The Great Hall). Please enter the building through the skyway system.
