CRC Board supports movies at the Palace Theatre

The CapitolRiver Council’s Board of Directors voted on December 17, 2014 to support the inclusion of movies at the Palace Theatre with the following motion:

The Capitol River Council recognizes the City’s planned renovation of the Palace Theatre will create a cultural asset for the City of St. Paul. We support the inclusion of weekly, regularly scheduled independent and/or arts films to the best of the city’s ability and with the understanding they will digress to a significant concert or event as needed.

The CapitolRiver Council has adopted the following position on the Draft St. Paul Bicycle Plan:
WHEREAS, the CapitolRiver Council believes a system of safe and convenient bike trails will be an asset to the City of St. Paul, and

WHEREAS, the City of St. Paul is undertaking a parking study in Downtown St. Paul that is scheduled to be completed in early 2015,

BE IT RESOLVED, that the proposed loss of on-street parking in Downtown St. Paul requires further study, and
