Variance Application Decisions
At its meeting Friday, June 27, 2008, the Skyway Advisory Committee considered the applications for a variance to the skyway hours of 6:00 AM to 2:00 AM.
The CapitolRiver Council Board reviewed the decisions made by the Skyway Advisory Committee and approved the exceptions for: St. Joseph's Hospital, Ramsey County Courthouse and Annex, Burger Federal Courthouse, Macy's, Sibly Square, Minnesota Children's Museum, Gilbert Building and Metro Square. The Board rejected the application for exception from the Golden Rule Building. View the letters sent to the City Council regarding the Skyway Variance Decisions: (1) and (2).
The Skyway Advisory Committee unanimously adopted a resolution by which applications for variance may be reconsidered "If circumstances change such as a change in the use of a building, or nearby developments occur, resulting in an increase or decrease in skyway access by the public."
